  • Today Thursday - 7/17 - Good Trouble Lives on National Day of Action - 6 pm - 8 pm 

    • We will meet in the Lucas County Shared Services parking lot (3737 W. Sylvania Ave) before marching along Sylvania Avenue. 

    • Menstrual hygiene product donations will be accepted to benefit Solace Health and Wellness's Menstrual Justice program. Please bring new, unopened tampons, pads, and menstrual cups to donate.

  • 7/19 - African American Festival Parade

    • The parade will start at Dorr & Detroit and end at Nelson Grace Park (1001 N. Detroit Ave, Toledo, OH 43607)

    • Line-up: 8:30 am

    • Step Off - 10:00 am 

    • Walk with LCDP, our great candidates and elected officials in one of the best parades of the year! 

    • The music fest will be held after the Parade at the Huntington Center.

  • 8/2 - Toledo Jeep Fest Parade  - 10 am – 12:30 pm (Downtown Toledo)

    • Don’t miss the main event! 1,400 Jeeps will roll through the streets of downtown Toledo in the All-Jeep® Parade.

    • The parade starts at Monroe St. and Summit St. and continues north onto Huron St. and ends at Adams St.

    • LCDP will not have a float in this parade. Come out to enjoy the parade, show your support for our UAW family who lead off the parade, cheer on our elected officials! 

  • 8/4 - Glass City Jazz Week 

    • Five unforgettable evenings of live jazz leading up to the Glass City Jazz Fest. Whether you’re a jazz enthusiast or just looking for a great night out, Toledo Jazz Week offers a perfect blend of music, community, and summer vibes.   • Join the Oregon Democratic club for our annual corn roast. Great community event. Sweet treats by Basia Lynn. Raffles to benefit our scholarship for Oregon resident high school students. You may even get to meet some local, state and federal candidates!

    • 8/23 - Resistance & Resilience Fair - 11 am - 4 pm - @ UAW Local 12 Join LCDP, Toledo Persists, Toledo Trouble Makers, and more to fight fascism, build community, and support local businesses. Please join the Lucas County Democratic Party as we look ahead to 2025, 2026, and beyond!

LCDP is hosting a series of Listening Sessions across Lucas County to hear from all types of Democrats - no matter your level of involvement - about how YOU think of the Democratic Party and ways for us to improve our work and scope. Your input is important to us. The session on April 23rd will be our second in the series.

Come answer questions and provide feedback on topics like: What does it mean to be a Democrat? How can LCDP get you and your family, friends more involved? Did you vote in 2024, why or why not?

The Democratic Party is made up of Americans such as yourself. All are welcome to join these conversations. More events to come in this series, keep a lookout for future opportunities to share with your friends and family.

THERE WILL BE PARKING AT: THE TOLEDO PUBLIC SCHOOL OF EDUCATION BUILDING, 1609 N. SUMMIT ST., TOLEDO, OH 43611. (There will be Signs Posted).

DETAILS: If you wish to walk in the Rally, the entire distance from the parking lot to the bridge, the walk over the Craig St. Bridge from Summit St. to Front St. and back to Summit St, then onto your car is approximately 1.5 miles in its entirety.

If you would prefer to only participate in watching the speaking portion of the Rally, you can park at Glass City Metro Park, 1505 Front Street, and walk to the Craig St. Bridge on the Front St. side.

Don’t forget your sign, sunblock and water (possibly a rain coat)! Thank you for your participation! We look forward to seeing you there!!!
